The Way to BROADWAY

Do you want to know how I became the lead actor in the first Broadway Show I ever booked? Hours and hours of vocal training, acting lessons, hundreds of auditions that went nowhere, and stamina. That's right, stamina! Yes stamina to take rejection after rejection. Stamina to do six low budget shows a week for $10 a show.  And stamina for my voice to hold out to get me through all of this until that day I booked my first Broadway Show.  I want to share my experience, knowledge, and techniques with you.  I want to teach you how you can do this too.  It takes drive, commitment, and yes stamina.  And I can help you lay the foundation for your voice to build a career off of.

About Me

James Snyder has been working on stage and screen since even before graduating from the University of Southern California's prestigious Bachelor of Fine Arts acting program.  Named by many including "Wicked" producer David Stone as "Broadways newest leading man" James is most recently known for his leading role in Broadways first a Capella musical "In Transit" as well as opposite Idina Menzel (The voice of Elsa in Disney's Frozen) in the Broadway show If/Then.  He also played the titular role in John Waters' Tony Nominated film turned stage Musical, Cry-Baby.  Although, James is no stranger to the screen either.  From roles on Gilmore Girls to The Good Wife and films such as Dreamworks' She's The Man starring Amanda Bynes, An American In China, and Shuttle.
James has also had his ups in the world of Music.  Previously signed with Lionsgate records James collaborated with Ross Golan (Hit song writer of "Same old Love" performed by Selena Gomez, "Compass" with Lady Antebellum and many many others) to release his album LA Curse.  His band and solo shows have sold out Joe's Pub, 54 below and the world famous Birdland.  He is currently working on a new album of Rodgers and Hammerstein classics to be released next year.
